Articles of interest regarding CYMPO activities are found regularly in local newspapers. These include the Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott Valley Tribune, and The Chino Valley Review. In addition, meetings of the Technical Advisory Committee and the Executive Board are attended by representatives of KPPV and KQNA radio. Other Items of Interest: The Glassford Hill Road Extension from State Route 89A to State Route 89 was studied in a corridor Evaluation/Location Report prepared in January 2002 by Dava & Associates. The CYMPO Draft Regional Transportation Study recommends that the alignment be evaluated to provide a continuous controlled access roadway from State Route 89A to State Route 89. Additionally, the CYMPO Draft Regional Transportation Study recommends evaluating the potential of connecting this roadway with a realigned Outer Loop Road to provide a controlled access corridor west of State Route 89 to Williams Valley Road. Yavapai County Public Works has developed a scope of work with Dava & Associates Inc., which would include the development of design criteria to meet ADOT standards, preliminary alignment evaluation, conceptual roadway design, and right of way descriptions and map. There would need to be considerable more engineering services in the future to move forward with the final design.
